The Department of Theatre and Dance is very proud of the work and the accomplishments of our students. We’ve asked a number of them to volunteer to do some blogging from time to time so that those of you interested in where our students come from, what kinds of lives they lead within the department, what they think of the education they’re receiving, can get an “inside view” of the department from the student’s perspective. Here’s your chance to meet them:
Amy K. White
Amy Kathryn White is a senior Musical Theatre major, Dance minor at SUNY Fredonia. Her main stage credits include: Elmire in Tartuffe, McQueen in Urinetown and Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet. Her student production credits include: Rosie in Cabaret, Merge in Autobahn and Joanna in Sweeney Todd. Professionally, she has played roles such as: Nancy McCoy in Hatfields and McCoys and Cinderella in Cinderella. A West Virginia native, she enjoys sunshine, playing guitar and piano, Shakespeare, Kurt Vonnegut, 1960’s rock music and her pet lizard named Noodles Vonnegut.
Kate Stack
Kate Stack is a junior BFA Technical Production Major from Lancaster, NY. This year, she is the Technical Director for Marat/Sade and Urinetown, and is very excited to be a Costume Crafts Artisan on Romeo and Juliet. She is also the Chair of the SUNY Fredonia Chapter of the United States Institute of Theatre Technology (FUSITT) and sits on the PAC board as Production Representative. She promises that she’s a very nice person (much nicer than Colin), and would like to be your friend.
Colin Chauche
Hi my name is Colin. I’m a sophomore in the BFA Theatrical Production and Design program with a concentration in Lighting Design. I was born in Guatemala and lived in Latin America for 15 years before moving to Boston where I began doing theater. Aside from theater I like to play ultimate frisbe whenever I can. Also I’m more fun than Kate Stack.
Kyle Aaron Blount
Kyle, a sophomore BFA Musical Theatre major, is a native of McKean, PA, a small town outside of Erie. Mainstage credits to date: Inmate in Marat/Sade and Tiny Tom/Dr. Billeaux in Urinetown. Professionally, he has performed at the Chautauqua Institute as Vincent Jones in Street Scene. Aside from theatre, Kyle enjoys reading mystery novels, playing one of his many musical instruments, and writing his own plays and stories.

Theatre People!
I would like to keep everyone posted with the shows & miscellaneous theatre I’ll be seeing/involved in next year across the pond. From what I understand, the “student bloggers” were chosen, though I’d like to add to the conversation. If I not, I’ll just leave these replies every so often with that I’m up to.
Cheers! Happy spring.
